Jason George is a partner at Washington George PLLC where his practice focuses on real estate law and business law. As a real estate practitioner Jason represents buyers and sellers of residential and commercial properties including cooperative and condominium apartments, and commercial and multi-unit properties. In addition, Jason negotiates commercial leases on behalf of tenants and landlords including office, retail, medical, restaurants and bars, and various other uses.
Over the last few years Jason has helped close real estate transactions worth hundreds of millions of dollars for individuals, investors, investment funds and corporations.

Through his
business law practice Jason represents entrepreneurs, investment funds, small and medium-sized businesses, other corporate entities and individuals in a broad variety of transactions and as outside general counsel. His clients range from companies with 100+ employees to entrepreneurs and sole proprietors for whom he provides guidance on matters including: corporate formations, drafting operating and shareholder agreements, business and asset acquisitions and sales, employment agreements, service agreements, NDAs, trademarks, commercial leases and general outside counsel advice.

Prior to beginning his years in private practice Jason was Legal Counsel and Vice President for Investments at a multi-billion dollar New York based private equity fund and practiced corporate law at international law firms based in New York and London.

Personal: Jason prides himself on taking his clients work seriously but not himself. He enjoys traveling, learning and speaking foreign languages (he is proficient in Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian and fluent in Albanian and claims to have once been conversant in Greek), and reading historical fiction. He is an enthusiastic bike rider and can be found biking all over NYC’s five boroughs on weekends and holidays. In 2001 he was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in Southeastern Europe and has lived, studied or worked in five different countries in Europe and Australia. He lives in New York City with his wife and young daughter.
